It is so nice to buy a new car and one that fit’s my lifestyle well today. I finally sold my 20 year old Audi for a more useful daily driver and a more capable vehicle in the mountains. I have had too many issues travelling with my 2010 Sprinter, requiring extra days to travel to find a servicing dealership, and another day for the required repair work. Not so great to get packed up for the wilderness, only to have to go elsewhere when a check engine light is has come on.
A 2020 Toyota 4Runner TDR Off-Road is now my main touring rig. Sadly will be leaving out a SUP or dirt bike for simply my mtb and sneakers.
Getting to the trailheads now is so easy. Already broken it in well with plenty of low 4 and mountain work in CA, CO, and WY. I added a set of Cali-Raised Sliders, Clear Bra, CanvasBack cargo liners, Weathertech 3D Front Mats, and a Yakima Slim Shady Awning, on sale from REI.
Since January have put about 9k miles on it and. Should last me a very long time. It’s going to take me places I could not have gone otherwise.
